BRAND NEW ROLE Our team consists of people who are passionate about making a difference we are seeking a dynamic networking property specialist to assist us to find housing solutions Last year we housed 291 families into Monte Cecilia community housing private rentals and in HNZC properties We have over 270 properties and want to double that over the next 12 months We are looking for a person who has the networks connections in Auckland real estate market There is no selling no property management required but those skills are beneficial as you seek to find properties suitable to lease The property team of eight work together to achieve their goals by supporting one another We are positive and enthusiastic in everything that we do As a Housing Specialist you will focus on doing the best for the people we serve which means never giving up and having a commitment to successful solutions and outcomes The purpose of the role is to generate the introduction and management of new properties by working with external property Managers and owners in acquiring housing by locating developing negotiating and closing housing leases for our social housing stocks continued growth and to work effectively in a team environment within the Vision Mission and Values of Monte Cecilia Housing Trust All homes must meet Monte MHUD criteria Monte Cecilia Housing Trust has been advocating for and working with homeless families for over 38 years We are dedicated to supporting families to achieve sustainable long term housing solutions Our Vision is that Everyone has access to adequate affordable and secure housing Part of our Mission is providing high quality and culturally appropriate services to families with a housing need To be successful in this role you will have A proven track record of high levels of performance Result driven personality High level of networking skills and ability to build more Ability to onboard landlords and Property Managers Experience working with diverse cultures and people with complex needs Expertise in time management and organizational skills An understanding of the complexities of social housing or a willingness to learn The skills to manage conflict and deescalate situations Excellent communication skills both verbal and written At least 3 years relevant experience in property tenancy management A clean full Driver s License A working knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act An ability to generate and network creating housing options Have a can do attitude and can multitask Ability to be hands on when it all happens at once If you are interested we would love to hear from you Apply now Interviews will take place online and positions to commence once COVID19 Level 4 lockdown has finished
