The education we provide includes in-service education, Hospice New Zealand programmes, seminars, study days, and eLearning.Leading the education team, this role also carries primary responsibility for the delivery of clinical education and assessing the ongoing competency of Registered Nurses and Health Care Assistants across the Hospice Waikato in-patient unit, community and paediatric teams. The emphasis will be on developing and maintaining the clinical skills and competency of nurses working with adults and children in a palliative care setting.To be the right fit for this role and our organisation, you would bring need:• A current Nursing Council of NZ practising certificate for RN scope of practice• Sound level of experience in a Leadership role, preferably within palliative care• Experience in adult education, preceptorship or mentoring• Significant experience in palliative care nursing• Post-registration qualification in Palliative Care (minimum of Post-Graduate Diploma)• Prepared to work towards a Masters qualification• Competent with information technology, digital devices and eLearning• Ability to work autonomously and as part of an interdisciplinary team• Current full New Zealand driver’s licenseTo apply for this position please and select the ’apply for this job’ link to submit your application through SEEK.The successful applicant will be required to undertake pre-employment health screening (including drug testing) and complete a Ministry of Justice criminal records check, the results of which must be to Hospice Waikato’s satisfaction.Applicants must have NZ residency or valid work visa.
