Are you driven to help people create energy efficient, warm, healthy homes? To use your building, technology and home energy product knowledge to improve homes across the Wellington region? We’re seeking a friendly team player with strong communication skills and a practical, problem solving attitude.
This role combines property assessments with advice and practical solutions on how to create warm, dry homes with reduced impact on the environment. The role also assists in the delivery of Wellington City Council’s plan to get to zero carbon by 2050 by advising residents in low-carbon emissions alternatives.
Action plans and customer relationships are key, to ensure that people take up solutions as well as act on the advice they receive. We therefore need someone with good people and presentation skills, and the ability to take customers from advice through to appropriate sales of key products, such as insulation, heating, ventilation and LED downlights.
The role includes:
- In-depth, accurate energy efficiency assessments and advice for homes in the Wellington region
- Advice and support for landlords, tenants, and homeowners using in-house and 3rd party assessment protocols.
- Maintaining currency with technical product knowledge with the ability to communicate and sell appropriate products to clients
- Helping to fulfil local/national regulations and building standards
- Client relationship management including well organised record keeping and follow-up accurate reporting (written, oral)

The role is based in Wellington, at the central head office and properties throughout the region. Sustainability Trust provides product and assessment training, inspection tools, a smart phone and a vehicle for work use.
