Hi there! We're a Kiwi-German family with 3 kids and are looking for a female helper/woofer that can be a helping hand in the family and especially look after our daughter during the day when we are both busy working or doing office work and she is not at kindy. She has been watching a bit too much TV lately and it would be really great to have someone that can spend some dedicated time with her instead. It is also autumn-tidy-up-time in the garden and some help there would be great too, as well as with general household odd jobs. We are HelpX hosts and live rurally, near the Tora coast. We have got cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, pigs and a horse. We also have a lot of beehives close to the house, so if you're allergic this would not be ideal or you would have to make sure you have emergency medication with you. The bees are generally fine and we hardly ever get stung, even working on the hives, but the next hospital is 1 hr away ;o)Work would be about 4-5 hours per day in exchange for food and accommodation in our family home. It would be best if you have some experience with kids and general household tasks. No vegetarians please, unless you're fine with just side dishes, as we have meat dishes most days (and we do eat our own animals, some of them anyway). It would also be great if you can speak German, as the kids could do with some practice, but this is not a must.We would like a minimum stay of 1 week or more please and I can usually pick up from Masterton or Martinborough on Wednesdays or Fridays. Pickup from Wellington/Featherston train station may be possible as well, but depends on days/time. Hope to hear from you soon! :)
