• Do you have extensive experience in a heavy transport/engineering environment?
• Gain exposure to top of the line heavy transport units in a busy workshop!
Due to strong, continued growth we are looking for a trade qualified Heavy Transport Engineer to join a leading dealership in Nelson. This company is well established with a modern workshop and a big emphasis on training and development.
As a Heavy Transport Engineer you will be responsible for the engineering repairs and maintenance to trucks and trailers, repairing any accidental damages and completing welding and fabrication work with MIG on stainless and alloy units. You will have the ability to analyse and interpret drawings and data and to work to a high quality finish.
You will have developed safe and tidy welding skills and be comfortable operating to a high standard of health and safety. You will have the opportunity to continue to develop your trade skills and experience, and will be rewarded with progression opportunities and a strong pay packet.
To be successful in this role, you must have the following:
• Trade Qualification in Fabrication or Fitting & Welding
• Welding tickets would be advantageous
• Able to confidently complete a trade test
• Experience across heavy trucks and trailers
• Available to work Monday – Friday with over time when required
