We are on the look out for an Experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to keep our Loyal Customers Moving!!
If you are a Qualified, Highly skilled, Diesel Technician with your own basic tools, are very proficient in all aspects of vehicle repairs / maintenance/ servicing, and who takes pride in their high work standard and efficiency, then you are what we are looking for.
General Duties will include but not limited to:
*Maintain, test and repair diesel motors and the mechanical parts of trucks and other heavy vehicles such as transmissions, suspensions, steering and brakes
*Inspecting electrical and mechanical components in motor vehicles to diagnose issues accurately by performing tests.
*Undertaking repairs on all types of motor vehicles, including removing components, parts and sub-assemblies.
*Maintaining, testing and repairing diesel/petrol engines and electrical/mechanical parts of lightweight and motor vehicles such as transmissions, suspension, steering, brakes, and control systems, etc.
*Completing preventative maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters and checking fluid levels. Replace worn parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, suspension components, etc.
*Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives to ensure electrical and mechanical soundness; adjusting controls and systems, if needed. .
*Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
*Maintain stock records and ordering spare parts, when needed.
*Keep shop equipment operational by following operating instructions and carrying out regular preventive maintenance
*Picking and dropping vehicles
*Must be able to Communicate with Customers
*Not be Afraid to pickup the Phone
*Other duties as required by the Workshop Manager
Class 2 licence an advantage
