Healthcare Assistant - Part Time

Location: Radius Thornleigh Park, 25 Heta Road, Highlands Park, New Plymouth 4312Hours of work: Part Time, approx 15 hours per weekPay Rate: $26.94 - $29.10 per hour - subject to completed caregiving qualificationNOTE: Radius Care cannot support visas/visa changes for part time HCA roles.About the Role:Provide exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
Work closely with a team to implement our individual care plans.
Full training provided.Some Duties include but are not limited to:Undertaking personal cares, while encouraging residents to make decisions that promote independencePromptly completing delegated tasks in a timely mannerResponding quickly to resident requests, providing them with useful, relevant informationMaintaining and updating resident healthcare recordsAssisting with handover of residents at shift changesCareer progression + assistance with Careerforce and NZQA qualificationsEAP (Employee Assistance Programme)Access to discounts and benefits via our Staff AppOpportunities to transfer between 23 Radius Care sitesSupportive team environmentSkills and Experience:New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 (or equivalent) and 3 years of relevant experience; OR New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (or equivalent).Dementia and hospital-level care experience requiredFlexibility to work on a rostered shift basisPeople skills with empathy for the elderly and their familiesGood written and verbal communication skillsApply now!
