Casual - As and When Required
We are looking for experienced HCA's to work rostered duties across the Taranaki Base Hospital on a casual basis.
The Casual Healthcare Assistant (HCA) functions as a vital equal value member of the Nursing Resources team. The HCA will perform delegated patient care duties, housekeeping duties and food service duties to enhance the satisfaction level of the hospitalised patient in the area.
The key areas of accountability are:
To perform specified duties as directed to maintain customer
Responsible for providing quality internal customer service.

Potential candidates must have:
Reliability and flexibility.
A strong work ethic.
Good time management skills.
Good communication skills.
Successfully completed the Health Care Assistant or Health Support Assistant training or a NZQA approved National Certificate in Support of the Older Person (level 3 ) or a National Certificate in Community Support Services (level 3).
