Health & Safety Consultant

Locally owned and operated, Mitre 10 MEGA is seeking a suitable candidate for the role of Health & Safety Consultant. The Mitre 10 brand is part of the DNA of New Zealand DIY with many customers having grown up with the brand originally launched in New Zealand in 1974.
Working across our Wellington stores in Petone, Porirua and Upper Hutt, the Health & Safety Consultant will work with our teams to drive culture change within our busy customer focused retail and trade environments. This will include actively engaging with our people to increase awareness and participation in health & safety, systems and improvements and working with our teams to engage our customers in health & safety when they visit our sites.
This is a fixed term position for one year. While we have health & safety management systems in place, we are looking for someone who can make a "step" change in our culture and who can bring our people on this journey with us.
