Reporting to the Global HSEQ Lead, this newly created, broad role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of HSE practices in New Zealand.As the HSE Manager, you'll lead initiatives to embed a "Safety First" culture, ensure compliance with global standards, and adapt these to local legislative and operational requirements. You'll also play a pivotal role in supporting key national and international projects central to the organisation's operations in New Zealand.Key responsibilities:Promote hazard and incident reporting, lead corrective actions, and foster engagement across all levels of the organisation.Maintain and adapt the Integrated Management System to ISO standards, ensuring alignment with New Zealand's regulatory environment.Conduct thorough investigations, share insights, and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.Deliver psychosocial risk management programs, strengthen safety culture, and build strong stakeholder relationships.Oversee audits, maintain ISO accreditations, and ensure all contractual HSE requirements are met.About you:We are seeking a proactive and adaptable HSE leader who is passionate about driving cultural and operational change. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of New Zealand's HSE practices and legislation, coupled with experience managing risk in high-stakes environments. Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills are essential, particularly in government reporting and stakeholder engagement contexts.You will bring expertise in workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, and incident management, along with a proven track record of leading HSE change initiatives that foster engagement and deliver measurable improvements.
