Health Care Assistant - Theatres - Auckland City Hospital

Are you interested in becoming a Health Care Assistant working in our busy Operating Theatres?

There will be days where you will be working in the ward and days where you will be helping in theatre which means no two days will be the same. You will see all the action working alongside our theatre team during surgery. This role offers Health Care Assistant’s unique opportunities to gain new experiences and learn valuable skills.

To perform this role you need to be able to meet the heavy lifting requirements (Up to 25KG). You will be pushing the surgical tool trolley, lifting patients from bed to bed and pushing/pulling large equipment to and from theatres. In this role, you will also be working on a 24/7 rostered basis Monday – Sunday.

To be eligible for this role you will have an approved Level 3 or 4 Health Care Certificate or a qualification equivalent to this. Please scan through your certificate or transcript together with your application.
