Health Care Assistant – Respiratory And Sleep Medicine

80 hours per fortnight (Monday - Friday)
Waikato DHB's Respiratory Physiology Lab strives to deliver excellent and innovative patient-centred care. We have an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to join the Respiratory Physiology outpatients' team at Waikato Hospital with the potential of expanding the role across the wider Respiratory outpatients Department.
If you can demonstrate a flexible approach to work, an ability to adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment, display excellent communication skills, enjoy working in a small team environment we would like to hear from you. Experience in a hospital setting would be preferred but is not essential.
Your duties will include:
Supporting patient flow through the outpatients clinic - MCC Level 2
Preparing patients for investigations
Performing basic measurements under supervision
Sending and uploading test results
Machine calibration and cleaning
Biological control measurements

Position requirements:
A New Zealand work permit
