Assisting them with day-to-day tasks of caring for our patients, this is a unique opportunity for you to contribute to our vision of delivering quality patient care.
The Critical Care Complex which is both the Intensive Care Unit & High dependency Unit is the specialist care given to patients with acute (sudden), potentially reversible, life-threatening diseases. This may include patients who have life-threatening conditions such as a major accident, burns injury, spinal cord injury, severe infection or those recovering from a major operation.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and motivated Health Care Assistant to join our great team of highly skilled nurses and medical staff that provide clinical care to our patients. Our new team member must be passionate about patient care, highly organised, able to prioritise, have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy building relationships with our patients, and have the ability to work collaboratively.
In return we will give you all the training and support that you need to help you grow and succeed in this role.
These are 12 hour rostered shifts, that have to be flexible and includes weekends and public holidays.
You must have:
Health Care Assistant Level 3 or Level 4 Certificate
Minimum 1 year acute ward experience
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Excellent command of verbal and written English
Passionate and enthusiastic about working with patients and families/whaanau
Enjoy being part of a team

Attended Counties Manukau DHB Step Up Course
