District Nursing Southland
Permanent, 0.2 FTE (evening hours)
About the role
We have a vacancy for a Health Care Assistant to work alongside our District Nurses in the community and clinic setting. This could be an ideal opportunity for a nursing student with an interest in community or someone with general admin experience looking for part time hours to work in the evenings and to experience the challenging and constantly changing environment of Community Nursing.
Under the direction of the Senior Nurse on shift you will work alongside a District Nurse in the community, undertake some clerical duties, restocking and ordering of supplies and general needs to ensure the smooth running of the department.
About you
We are particularly interested in hearing from Health Care Assistants who are dynamic, friendly and demonstrate a high level of initiative. Experience within a community setting is not essential but would be an advantage.
Our service is supportive, friendly and is committed to high standards of service. District Nursing is ideally looking to appoint a part time Health Care Assistant to its evening service (rostered duties 6:00pm to 10: 00pm, four evenings per fortnight, Monday to Sunday).
A full, clean driver's licence is essential.
