Health And Safety Officer

Are you experienced in health and safety and looking for a change?
This is a new, permanent, full time Health and Safety Officer role based in our Richmond Office. In this role you'll work alongside our existing Health and Safety Advisor, and be a key member of the Human Resources team.
The Council's health and safety portfolio is wide ranging so variety is definitely in abundance in this role. A key focus area for this office-based role is Vault database management and utilising the system to its full potential. Other priorities include risk management, contractor prequalification, managing the substances register, health and safety incident / event coordination, and assisting with training and wellbeing activities.
To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for workplace health and safety and possess a good working knowledge of health and safety legislation. Ideally you'll have held a similar position previously, and have completed relevant training. You'll also have solid experience with health and safety systems, processes and databases, and it goes without saying that you'll have excellent communication and digital literacy skills.
