Health And Safety Manager - Scion

As well as conducting research to enhance the international competitiveness and profitability of the current forest industry, Scion is at the leading edge of new technology development for renewable biomaterials and energy and the establishment of a broader based bio-economy. We are looking for a Health and Safety professional who can provide expert health and safety advice and ensure Scion is compliant with legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
Reporting to the General Manager of People, Culture and Safety, you will:
Provide assistance with the design and development of Scion's H & S management system
Identify and assess hazards, implement controls and maintain a register
Lead consultation, communication and education around H & S processes
Manage incident reporting and recording
Manage H & S reviews and reporting
We want to talk with you if you:
Have proven experience as an H & S manager with senior responsibilities
Have experience with developing Risk Management frameworks
Have sound knowledge of H & S legislation and regulations
Have project management experience
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Are proficient with software including Microsoft Office, Web technology and ideally, HS applications
