We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager with a proven background in the infrastructure industry. You will report to the Chief Executive Officer and work across our construction, aggregates and asphalt production operations. You will play a central role in our Health and Safety performance and be at the forefront of lifting our Health and Safety culture and compliance.  Key responsibilities in this role: Ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, ACOP's and best practice guidelines relevant to the civil construction industry Leading and demonstrating commitment to continued development and implementation of effective HS systems and processes that facilitate a safe and healthy work environment Leading and demonstrating commitment to the company's integrated management system ensuring compliance standards are achieved and maintained throughout the company Supporting operational managers in the areas of health and safety compliance Advising senior managers and directors in the areas of health and safety and compliance risks and best practice Auditing and reviewing policies, procedures, documents and compliance standards Ensuring audits and certifications required by the company are achieved and maintained Coaching on core HS and Compliance concepts Working with the People and Culture Manager on coordinating inductions and training programmes About You To be successful in this role you will have: Experience with integrated management systems and achieving and maintaining prequalification's Experience with Health and Safety management within a high risk/construction environment Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Experience identifying and mitigating risks and hazards Incident/Accident management and investigation experience Experience in identifying system and process-based improvements Ability to work with minimal supervision and take ownership of your role Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work Commitment to continuous improvement and a safety first culture Class 1 Drivers Licence What's in it for You The opportunity to work with a committed and focused team and make a valued and meaningful contribution through your work.
