About The Role
As Head of Technology – Strategy & Architecture, you would have the opportunity to:
Work collaboratively with other business and technology leaders to help define strategic technology roadmaps, architectural standards and patterns
Manage an experienced team of senior Architects, helping mentor, coach and support to get the best from each team member
Influence the overall business strategy and Technology investment planning for the bank
Balance long term strategy with incremental and continual delivery of value
Research and apply emerging technology trends and approaches, helping the bank innovate, transform and go faster
Connect the Architecture practice with the rest of Technology, providing expertise and support to help our teams resolve major decisions, speed up delivery and improve the overall quality of the Technology Landscape
Support and leverage global counterparts as part of the broader ANZ group

About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
Deep Technical knowledge, with years of practical experience as a seasoned Architect, with strong business acumen and a commercial mind-set to help define technology roadmaps
Experience in design and delivery of a broad range of technologies and solutions at scale
Broad expertise across a range of technology and banking domains including channels, data, integration, core systems, payments, infrastructure and networks
A transformation and innovation mind set with a practical working knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends that are transforming banking
Strong skills in building collaborative relationships with stakeholders to understand their business and technology needs (current and future)
Be a big picture thinker with a willingness to accept and adapt ideas from various sources
An approach that helps solve problems, to enable the business to deliver greater value faster, while balancing short term outcomes against longer term quality and strategy drivers
A desire to continuously learn new technologies and connect with experts internally and externally to help bring the best new ideas and practices to the tech strategy and domain
Previous experience managing technology teams and time spent as either a developer or engineer
