Our client is a household name and leading player in the entertainment and retail sectors. Due to a restructure an opportunity has arisen for a talented senior manager to join the large technology division in a role focusing on leadership of a large team, delivery of complex core applications and a national digital product.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 80+ indirect and direct reports, who are predominantly in applications and complex core systems development and delivery
Own all aspects of the technical delivery, including technical and design decisions, tooling, productivity, ways or working, direction, scope and delivery
Be the key technology interface into the business teams responsible across three key areas
Perform research and product development, lead innovation and exploration to identify and understand how to operate and add value, ensuring technology is continually improved and of the highest quality on a global scale.
Key Skills and Experience Required:10+ years' experience in professional technology delivery, digital or software engineering roles with demonstrated experience in successful delivery of a large, complex program of work
Proven track record in leading high performing software engineering teams, and experience managing 50+ people
Experience in leading technology is complex enterprise platforms and solutions
Experience in transitioning services delivered by projects to operations
Salary and Benefits:Substantial salary package plus a 20% bonus, suitable to a senior/executive leadership role and negotiable
