Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

As the Head of Market in New Zealand, you'll be responsible for establishing the strategy and direction for working with customers and agencies, helping them to grow and develop their businesses. You will understand the context of the market and within Google, and be the primary person responsible to recruit and lead the team, ensuring it is growing the business in a sustainable way. You will also share the opportunities and challenges of the market and voice the priorities for our products to the team in Australia.

We are dedicated to growing the unique needs of advertising companies. Our teams of strategists, analysts, advisers and support specialists collaborate closely to spot and analyze customer needs and trends. In collaboration, we create and implement business plans broadly for all types of businesses.

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 16 years of experience working in a business environment.
- 10 years of sales leadership and people management experience.

Preferred qualifications:

- MBA degree.
- Experience in sales and general management in the technology, advertising or internet industries.
- Effective analytical acumen and strategic thought leadership, paired with an agile mindset and can-do attitude.
- Resilient business leader capable of independently sustaining high levels of performance and application over the long term.

- Manage the New Zealand Google Customer Solutions business and the development and execution of the New Zealand growth and business strategy.
- Build on advertising sales operations capability to provide an effective service to Google’s advertisers and agencies with a One Google collaborative approach. Act as a role model for your team and influence engagement which will build long-term strategic relationships.
- Contribute to the growth and direction of Google products and services in region. Ensure new product launches are successfully communicated to your local market.
- Establish relationships with individuals at advertising agencies, direct advertising clients. Work towards country-specific strategic business goals.
- Think and operate with a scaled approach.
