New leadership role, highly visible to senior stakeholders, direct exposure to the Executive Leadership team

We have a newly created role of Head of Corporate Responsibility who will ensure ASB stays one step ahead in making a positive social impact.
The role:
Our customers and community are expecting more from us as a Bank and a good corporate citizen, so as a senior leader on our Corporate Affairs team your focus will be on driving impactful social outcomes through sustainability and community.
As this is a new role, your first task will be to develop the corporate responsibility strategy on ASB's role in society and ensure we deliver on our purpose of accelerating the financial progress for all New Zealanders.
You will create a clear and proactive programme of activity for corporate responsibility and sustainability initiatives in the community. This will include producing key insights and regular reporting back to ASB's Executive Leadership Team on activities and progress of ASB's social impact objectives as well as managing external stakeholder relationships and expectations.
You will also be fundamental to developing the ASB Customer Advocacy strategy.
What you will bring:
This role will touch vast stakeholder groups internally and externally therefore you will need sound relationship management skills to effectively engage stakeholders internally to land on an agreed position and approach while also engaging the community and other external parties to build ASB's reputation in the community and identify further opportunities for activity.
From a technical perspective previous experience in a corporate sustainability or corporate responsibility role is preferred; you may be looking for your next step up in leadership and responsibility.
Strong project management skills within complex operating environments and sound commercial skills including negotiation and influencing, communication and managing risk will round out your suitability for this role.
A strong desire to drive great customer outcomes and enhance ASB's voice in the community is a must.
