Head Mechanic needed for exciting escooter company in Auckland We are excited to announce that a major Emobility service in Auckland is on the hunt for a fulltime Head Mechanic to join their team Are you someone who can not only pick up the mechanical repairs and skills but also design processes run a team and manage and forecast inventory As a Head Mechanic HM you will lead the maintenance operations for the ebike scooter fleet You will be responsible for overseeing the staff of Maintenance Technicians MTs performing warehouse inventory management maximizing the number of working ebikes scooters troubleshooting complex issues and working with the corporate product development team to make future product improvements The HM is responsible for making sure all maintenancerelated activities are performed safely and efficiently with the ultimate goal of optimizing the fleet for the best possible enduser experience Therefore you must have solid lead mechanic service management experience Requirements Prior leadership experience in a mechanic service management position ebikes bikes preferred but other related industries welcomed as well Intermediate to advanced experience using standard hand and power tools Strong computer knowledge spreadsheets inventory management software documents web browser emails etc Familiarity with using smartphones technology iOS iPhone experience preferred Prior experience in a people management position Prior experience managing and or implementing an inventory management system Ability to learn and implement new processes quickly Ability to lift 20 kgs with ease regularly Ability to stand be on your feet for extended periods 4 hrs Have a full Australian New Zealand drivers license with no convictions Role Specific Responsibilities Work under the guidance of the Field Operations Manager FOM Train Maintenance Technicians MTs and Warehouse Technicians WTs to properly execute maintenance procedures Generate spare parts orders and submit to Field Operations Manager FOM with sufficient lead time to mitigate inventory shortage Manage warehouse and spare parts inventory effectively and placing new orders as needed Manage staff of MTs to optimize the safety and function of the ebikes scooters fleet Maintain an organized warehouse layout and workspace General Responsibilities Adhere to all safety protocol associated with maintaining vehicles and working in a warehouse Inspect and evaluate ebikes scooters for safety function and cleanliness Log all maintenance activities in software through computer or tablet Navigate the company s operations software Sound like youEnthusiastic about the prospect of working for a forwardthinking innovative and exciting company Apply with your CV today Shortlisted applicants will be contacted to attend a round of interviews on the 5th of February or 7th of February 2020
