Head Chef Opportunity

Lulu is on the hunt for a new head chef. Come be part of a fast paced, exciting and growing business.

Lulu’s style of food is all things island with subtle influences from south east asia. Plenty of raw and cooked seafoods as well as a number of larger protein dishes all cooked in our josper charcoal oven. All food is best shared and our menu has multiple options for different dietary requirements. Applicants must have previous experience working with and designing dishes in the styles mentioned above. It would also be helpful if you have experience cooking over charcoal.

Our wonderful but sadly departing head chef has the place running exceptionally well, with the standard of food high and reviews overwhelmingly positive. Food costs for the menu are inline with our expectations. Applicant’s must have a disciplined approach to food costings and individual portion control.

Hothead’s need not apply. We have fun and supportive team environment at lulu and expect our senior staff to lead by example in this area. We believe culture is paramount to success and want any new team member to build and add to ours in a positive way.

Currently the kitchen team consists of 6. Hours of work are from 1pm till needed. Kitchen service closes at around 10pm and we are open 7 days per week.

Must have current NZ work visa.
