This is a hands on multi-site Executive Chef role based in Melbourne that oversees the operations at two kitchens. A mix of corporate and volume catering would be essential in this role as well as the ability to lead and train your team.
You will have full financial responsibility with budgeting and forecasting, P/L reporting and cost management a large part of the role. Additionally you will be in control of menu design and delivery across two busy sites.
About the role
Hands on approach to overseeing the daily operation of the kitchen which operates Monday to Friday.
Effectively manage food cost and ensure optimum productivity levels within the kitchen team.
Menu planning and developing.
Effective recruitment, training, development and coaching of all kitchen team.
Ensuring the highest standards of compliance across both kitchens
Drive innovation through menu design and delivery
About You
You will have experience within the industry in a senior management role with proven tenure and take a hands on approach to your work. You will possess excellent communication, verbal, written and interpersonal skills coupled with strong problem solving skills and have the ability to train and manage a large team in a multi-site capacity. Your excellent financial acumen with strong reporting skills will be required for this role as will high standards in food safety and OH&S practices.
