The Whaanau Mai Community Team (CMT) are seeking 2-4 Hauora Coordinators to join their dynamic team. The Hauora Coordinator will be committed to radically reducing inequities and eliminating barriers to engagement by enabling whanau Tino Rangatiratanga, Oritetanga and Mana Motuhake as our commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi. As a member of the Whaanau Mai - Community Team (CMT), the Hauora Coordinator role has shared accountability in improving the coordination and improvement of engagement of Primary Maternity Service provided by Te Whatuora Waikato. Key r esponsibilities of the role: This strategic role has 3 key priorities within the Hospital Provided primary Maternity service: to increase the early gestation rate at booking; prioritise and improve access for to primary birthing services across the district for eligible pregnant people; partner Maaori to lead equity innovations within the service (Please note position descriptions can only be viewed on the Te Whatu Ora, Waikato website.) Skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role: Experience in working in a Hauora Worker role, primary maternity service or health sector, and the ability to build a strong community network, as a support system to priority whaanau would be an advantage. Fluency in Te Reo Rangatira would be beneficial. The Hauora Coordinator will be working in partnership with the Whaanau Mai Community Midwives to provide a whaanau centred service. The Whaanau Mai Community Team provides a pregnancy and postnatal service to wahine, whanau and their pepi living in the Waikato district. What does Te Whatu Ora, Waikato offer you?
