Fixed Term until 30 th June 2024 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE) We have an exciting opportunity for a local Hauora and Wellbeing Recovery Lead to work with local Hauora and Mental Health providers and communities to help ensure that contracts are delivered and reported on.This role is fixed term and will end on 30 June 2024. Hawke's Bay has commissioned $3.5m of primary and mental wellbeing funding in total to help whanau and communities recover from Cyclone Gabrielle.This includes, partnering with the Ministry of Social Development (on behalf of the Regional Recovery Agency) to distribute $1.05m of community funds in January 2024. The focus of the role will be to connect with our contracted providers, Maori hauora, fund recipients, kura and marae and support them to ensure our contracts are implemented, monitored and reported on. This role will also help to communicate and coordinate the recovery activity for Health within the district and provide advice on health recovery to the Cyclone Recovery Manager. The successful person will have good local health networks, preferably experience working with mental wellbeing providers and/or health and Maori health providers, excellent relationship and contract management and organisational skills. The successful candidate will report to the Cyclone Recovery Manager and be responsible for raising purchase orders, and preparing monthly and quarterly reports, which will include partnering with MSD to report on the Community funding.An understanding of the cultural make up of communities and their health needs is essential, as is being flexible and able to plan and organise your own workload to meet deadlines.
