Responsibilities: Report on fault and failure data management Management and responsibility to closure of hardware maintenance topics for the allocated project, including if required testing with the customer Overseeing logistics and third-party vendors for repairs or replacements Prepare, conduct and minute the regular and ad-hoc hardware maintenance meetings with customer Ad-Hoc hardware maintenance management issues Preparation of the hardware maintenance aspects of the monthly report Obsolescence management and buffer stock monitoring. This includes, in the case of replacement models, assessing impact on existing installed base, maintenance procedures and training of the maintenance agent. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science discipline or any other relevant fields, with at least 5 years of relevant experience Experience in Work Package Management for the support function of the role Experience in large and distributed networked computer systems is a highly desirable Familiarity with a wide range of compute (HP, HPE, Lenovo, Dell) and networking (Cisco, Juniper) hardware from major manufacturers Work experience in a mission-critical environment (ATC-related) is highly desirable Solid understanding of hardware integration and testing processes Practical experience of validation and integration of hardware components on large, complex, software-based systems Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise documents that clearly articulate complex technical detail Able to work on multiple activities concurrently and effectively self-manage (autonomy) Able to work under pressure Cisco formal certifications (CCNP, CCNA etc) are desirable Good level of knowledge of, and experience with Linux Operating System (Red Hat Enterprise Linux distribution preferred) is desirable Experience in scripting and programming languages (Shell, Python) is desirable At Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
