Your day at NTT DATA
The Go-to-Market (GTM) Sales Specialist's purpose is to primarily support the pursuit of qualified leads identified by the Sales Specialist, Client Management team or Lead Generation Representatives.
The GTM Sales Specialist will also assist in identifying new opportunities from existing accounts, and present solutions, value propositions, partner configurations, cost structures, and revenue models to meet client needs.
This role involves working directly with clients at various levels and collaborating with internal subject matter experts.
A significant part of the role is engaged selling and supporting the sales process in partnership with Client Managers, including contributing to the pre-sales process by working with pre-sales architects to design optimal solutions.
Building and developing excellent stakeholder relationships with new and existing clients, as well as developing new business channels and territories, will be core to this role.
Primary Duties
What you'll be doing
Provide Domain and Industry Subject Matter Expertise in areas such as Network Transformation, IoT, Physical Security, End User Compute, Contact Centre, Data Analytics, GenAI, and Business Applications (SAP, ServiceNow, Salesforce).
Address technological conceptual challenges during the sales process.
Maintain high product and service knowledge, especially in Managed and Professional Services.
Stay aware of the competitive landscape, market pricing, and strategies to penetrate new markets.
Share best practices and contribute to the knowledge base of NTT DATA solutions within the GTM practice.
Collaborate with technology vendors like Cisco, Verkada, Google, AWS, Microsoft, SAP, Salesforce, and ServiceNow to understand their solutions and how they integrate with our offerings.
Client interaction and engagement, and understanding
Understand client business goals and articulate solutions aligned with their needs.
Communicate value propositions effectively throughout the sales process.
Conduct functional gap analyses and address business issues.
Prepare and deliver client workshops and presentations.
Build relationships with multiple client stakeholders and secure deals to meet sales targets.
Personalize solutions based on deep understanding of client business and technology needs.
Opportunity identification and closing sales
Identify new sales opportunities within accounts and work with sales teams to close them.
Pursue qualified leads from various sources.
Support sales process, position solutions, and close deals in collaboration with Client Managers.
Execute on the sales strategy
Support the broader sales plan and develop your own account plans.
Forecast and develop opportunities for medium and long-term deals.
Scope and document solutions to meet customer requirements.
Assess and highlight potential client risks.
Supporting the Sales Process
Work collaboratively with sales teams and internal stakeholders to close deals.
Track scope of work and proposals.
Use NTT DATA's sales methodologies and tools to drive the sales process.
Develop opportunity plans with regular stakeholder check-ins.
Experiences
Interest in solution-based selling.
Experience resolving issues creatively to meet targets.
Experience building relationships within and outside the organization.
Desirable: Experience in solution selling or expertise in strategic areas like AI.
Education and Training
A degree is preferred but not essential.
