About the role
To fulfil our commitment to the Vision 20:20 initiative, which aims to increase the number of Maori and Pacific health professionals through the Maori and Pacific Admission Scheme (MAPA) within Te Kupenga Hauora Maori (TKHM)seeksto appoint an experienced or rising Coordinator to join the team. It’s essential to have sound knowledge of Te Reo me ona Tikanga or have good cultural awareness and understanding.
Who are the Group Services Team?
The Group Services team are charged with providing a broad range of administrative support for the Faculty, supporting teaching, research and operations. This is the team that makes sure administrative processes run as they should, that people get the information they need when they need it, any roadblocks are smoothed away efficiently and coordinate everyday operation of the Faculty.
About the role
In this busy and deadline-driven role, you will provide a range of administrative support, including support to the Head of School for TKHM, minute taking and facilitating the successful execution of the events that take place in our department by ensuring the coordination activities are seamless.
If you are the kind of person who gets satisfaction from ticking things off the to-do list and enjoys thinking one step ahead in the process, you will find this role really rewarding. You will also enjoy a lot of autonomy in this role as you manage your workload as well as scope to innovate and build more efficient processes where you can see opportunities for improvement.

- Have strong administration experience
- Have previous experience with minute taking
- Have experience working in a deadline-driven role, supporting a range of stakeholders
- Be an expert “dot-connector”, empowering others with the information and support they need to get the job done
- Display strong communication skills
- Be self-driven, with bundles of initiative
