We deliver high-quality projects that exceed client expectations.The roleReporting to the General Manager, Operations and being a member of the National Leadership Team, this role is crucial in advancing Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) in our projects.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Modern Methods of Construction Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will lead and oversee the implementation of innovative construction methods by integrating modern practices such as digital technologies, modularisation, and prefabrication across the regions.
This role focuses on improving construction efficiencies, quality, and sustainability by integrating innovative construction techniques and technologies in line with international best practices.We see this position as a key part of our ability to build smarter and ultimately faster which is one of our key strategic goals.Key responsibilities:Develop strategies for the adoption and integration of MMC practices, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategic goals and sustainability objectivesWork with the key supply chain/manufacturers to look for innovative solutions that give Naylor Love a competitive edgeCollaborate with our project teams and planners to imbed MMC solutions into our schedules and monitor these time advantages to ensure real improvementAbility to collaborate and drive innovative change into the business and the project teamsCollaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure best practices around MMC are considered and embedded into our projectsWork in close collaboration with project teams, fostering a cohesive and integrated approach to project deliveryConduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies specific to MMCStay updated on the latest construction technologies and industry trends, continuously seeking ways to incorporate advancements in MMCPromote and educate the team and stakeholders on the benefits and applications of MMCLead the development of a logistics strategy that addresses both onsite construction needs and potential offsite logistics through prefabrication, modular construction, or other off-site construction optionsImplement MMC process improvements to achieve operational excellence and enhance efficiency, contributing to the organisation's success and bottom lineDevelop key performance indicators to measure the success of MMC initiativesPractice positive leadership, model core values, promote ethical behaviour, and have a personal style that promotes a culture of inclusiveness and teamworkProvide continued educational programmes and mentor and support appropriate staff to build internal expertise in MMCRequirements:Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related fieldStrong knowledge of BIM, modular construction, and off-site manufacturing techniquesExperience and mana to command respect from clients and staff as a construction industry specialistFamiliarity with construction management software and advanced technologiesProficient in budgeting and cost estimationHighly developed leadership, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills, including influencing with the ability to motivate and engage individualsExcellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilitiesOutstanding communication and people skills with the ability to inspire and lead diverse teamsAbility to think laterally and creatively to develop innovative plans and identify business improvement opportunitiesCustomer-driven and committed to providing a high quality of serviceWhat we offer:Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for professional growth and developmentA dynamic and collaborative work environmentA commitment to sustainability and innovationApplications close on Monday, 10 February 2025.The successful applicant will be required to complete a pre-employment medical test including drug screening and be eligible to work in New Zealand either as a resident or by holding a current work visa and preferably already in New Zealand.Naylor Love is an equal opportunities employer and committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of diversity and inclusion across all areas of our business.
