Group Manager Public Health

A leader of leaders is required by the Ministry of Health They will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership over the development and implementation of the Governments public health priorities and programmes Working alongside the Director of Public Health this individual will be tasked with delivering key public health functions and raising the profile and reputation of the team across government the health sector and New Zealand Population health and Prevention Population Health and Prevention works across sectors to achieve health equity and protect promote and improve the health and wellbeing of people families and communities The Directorate includes our key national public health functions emergency management the National Screening Unit and a range of population health programmes such as child health Pacific Health tobacco control immunisation and cancer control About You You will have the aptitude to work with your fellow GM s to be a holistic and highly effective management cohort You will be accountable for 200300 Million of contracting funding You will lift capability within your teams and will work intersector with external partners and stakeholders and with the Minister You will have and further build effective and influential relationships internally externally and with clinicians to If you are interested in this role or would like to find out more please contact Sally Whyte on 04 909 7384 or via info thejohnsongroup co nz quoting the reference number SW5398 Applications accepted until CoB 31st October
