Details of the offer

This position is critical in ensuring compliance and optimization of human resources and labour relations in support of the strategic business objectives. It is a position that is responsible for the entire ambit of human resources across a number of legal entities with a footprint across Southern Africa.
Closing date - 7 August 2020

This position will be based in Queenstown or Grahamstown and the incumbent must be prepared to travel as required. Remote work and ability to work independently is essential.
Remuneration and terms of employment
Remuneration will be commensurate with the caliber of the successful candidate, will be market-related (can be discussed).

Educational requirements

Human-resources or labour relations degree or equivalent experience
Exposure to appropriate labour relations and human resources training
Experience requirements

Preferably 5 years experience in human resources and labour relations in a business environment
Managing a diverse team to deliver against outcomes
Engaging at all levels in order to ensure stakeholder collaboration
Specific agricultural industry experience will be highly beneficial
Key result areas

Develop a human resource strategy, implementation plan and execute on the said plan
Manage the full employment lifecycle from a human resources support viewpoint (recruitment, selection, contracting, training, performance management, payroll and related administration, labour relations, C-19, remuneration, retention and the like)
Manage a team of human resources and payroll practitioners and ensure their roles and responsibilities are clear and managed
Compile and present reports to the Board, executives and other forums
Manage and implement all statutory compliance requirements including employment equity, skills development, C-19, OHSA as well as all statutory reporting requirements and submissions
Manage a budget
Optimise human resources, payroll, benefits and other costs and track metrics in this regard
