Gentracks recent growth and international expansion has created an exciting new opportunity for a highly motivated and talented Group Financial Controller to contribute to one of the leading NZ tech companies. Based in Auckland New Zealand you will be working closely with the Group CFO this role will oversee policy, systems, processes and internal control to ensure the Group applies leading practice appropriate for a public listed business.
Reporting into the CFO your key responsibilities include:
Internal and external reporting
Detailed understanding of IFRS, statutory reporting and NZX/ASX listing rules
Tax management and compliance including transborder taxation
Oversight of financial operations (AP, AR, etc), customer billing and revenue accounting, cash management/treasury, reporting, internal control policies and procedures, tax management and application of IFRS accounting standards
Driving continuing improvement through use of systems and processes to ensure finance continues to add value to the business
Build and maintain effective relationships with all key stakeholders, including the Gentrack Board and Audit Committee.
Leadership of the Financial Accounting teams, responsible for ensuring talent retention, career progression, succession planning and ongoing professional development is embedded in how the finance teams operate in the Group.

You will have:
Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a large Group or Business
5-10 years of combined accounting and finance experience
Listed company experience including to compliance and regulation
Experience of working in a Technology or Professional Services business
Thorough knowledge of taxation, accounting principles, IFRS and procedures
Experience with preparing financial statements in a complex Group
Experience with general ledger functions, transactional processes and the month-end/year end close process
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
