Every hour of every day another New Zealander will have a stroke. It is now New Zealand's second single biggest killer, it is the leading cause of adult disability and there are over 60,000 stroke survivors living in New Zealand who need dedicated care and support to get back on their feet.

The Stroke Foundation of New Zealand is the only national organisation dedicated to fighting stroke.

We save lives by helping people prevent stroke, to recognise stroke when it happens and to understand stroke as a medical emergency.

We change lives by working with partners to improve treatment for stroke and by providing free support services that enable stroke survivors to have the best possible quality of Life.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Graphic Designer to join the Stroke Foundation Marketing team at a particularly exciting time of growth and development.

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the design of all marketing, communications and fundraising publications and collateral; using visual concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate appropriate audiences. They are also responsible for the ongoing development of the Stroke Foundation's visual brand, and the look and feel of the organisations website and social media channels.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in graphic design or related field, demonstrable graphic design skills, with a strong portfolio, a solid understanding of marketing design, design production, website design, social media design, brand/corporate identity development and application, advertising design, and multimedia design, be creative, adaptable to trends and conceptualise original ideas, have a strong eye for visual composition and a good understanding of the not-for-profit sector.

This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week.
