Details of the offer

We are the leading provider of Practice Management software for the world’s largest law firms. We’ve been doing this for over 30 years. While our headquarters are in the US in Atlanta, our largest development centre is here in New Zealand on the North Shore with over 100 engineers focused on expanding and improving our products. We have a diverse mix of highly talented folks, ranging from fresh, eager graduates to domain and technology experts with decades of experience to draw on.
About the Role
There’s always something new and exciting happening in the Auckland Development teams, and we’re often hunting for talented graduates to join our teams.
We're using the latest technology, our product is complex and challenging and you'll get fantastic experience alongside some very sharp people. This isn't just another job, it's about building your career and being better together to support your aspiration of becoming a Software Developer or Technical Consultant.
We are experienced in developing graduates, and have a proven development plan that includes lots of training, guidance and support. After 6 months you'll 'graduate' from this, and then be expected to contribute equally alongside your team mates relative to your skill level and ability.
Skills and Experience
Technical skills - we’re a Microsoft shop so you'll need skills in .Net / C# or another OO language
Passion – we want you to own it! You'll be happy to live, eat, breathe and dream about making great software
Team work – you'll love working and collaborating in a close knit team
Communication –sharing information, ideas and relating to your team, global peers and clients is really important
Be a sponge – you'll be eager to learn and love to be challenged
Responsible – you'll proactively look for ways to help your team achieve its goals
Qualifications - you'll have recently completed an appropriate tertiary qualification
What You'll Be Doing
Learn and follow best practice principles and standards of software development
Actively participate in source code and design reviews and product planning sessions
Build, test, implement and support high quality, commercial software products written in .Net, C# and other current tools and languages
Play an active and positive part in our team centric Agile methodology

Working for Us
You’ll be working in a product family, which is a close, cross functional team focused on a particular domain, for example the billing process. The team is a mix of engineers, business analysts, a product manager and technical writers who are tended to by a team lead. A prioritized backlog drives the goals of the team and work is carried out in small increments. The team owns the product delivery including test automation, performance optimization, reliability engineering, telemetry and customization support.
Our Culture
Our industry requires continuous learning, and we’re here to encourage that. There are bonuses for achieving certifications, we’re a Microsoft Gold Partner, and shared learning is encouraged in many ways such as lunch ‘n’ learns, hackathons and meet-ups. One of the company goals is to be active in the community, and so we have a couple of community days each year when we get out of the office and help out in various projects and organizations. There’s a range of lunchtime activities such as basketball, MtG or you can try to work up the table tennis ladder. There are bikes racks in the garage and a couple of showers in the office if you want to avoid commuting by car, there’s a local gym with subsidized memberships. Our social club arranges several events during the year.
Our Package
Working in a modern, open office gives you the option of a standing desk and we provide the latest hardware, which is regularly refreshed. There are plenty of breakout areas as well as meeting rooms and focus spaces when you need them.
In addition to salary, there’s a generous employer KiwiSaver contribution, additional sick leave, a formal bonus scheme, flexible working options, income protection, life insurance, access to a financial advisor and more.
