With a plan to more than double their top line, this brokerage firm is acquisitive in purchasing and integrating insurance agencies onto their platform.
In line with supporting the future state of this organization, the client Group is seeking talented individuals to join their team to help support the expansion and build out of a Shared Services Center that will support their expansion plans.Scope of RoleAs the Client continues to acquire insurance agencies and integrate them onto their platform, they recognize the need for dedicated professionals to guide them in this transformational journey.
The focus of this role is around the General Ledger in order to drive operational efficiencies and accurate financials.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for achieving operational efficiencies, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining team development and learning needs.Accountability for successful reporting of accurate financials that are in accordance with GAAP.Collaborates with process leads to ensure consistent processes are followed within each region.Lead field SSC General Ledger operations to ensure standard processes are followed, operational efficiencies are identified, and corporate targets and deadlines are being met.Track resourcing needs and partner with HR to ensure appropriate backfilling and training.Identify offices that are not following the standard processes.Develop all GL associates and identify and implement training as needed.Responsible for data integrity for field financials; focusing on each level of the balance sheets and income statements.Work with Onboarding team to oversee agency integration and data cleanup efforts.Continuously drive a firm-wide view versus a regional or agency focusResponsible for implementing a consistent standardized process defined by firm.Audit current process to ensure adhesion to current firm standards.Monthly and Quarterly review of profit center financialsDevelop and maintain performance metrics for objective.Liaison with the OperationsEducation And Experience Qualifications8+ years of experience in a Finance & Accounting Role, minimum 5 years of hands-on accounting experienceBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (required)Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.Insurance experience helpful, Insurance Agency experience with working knowledge of AMS 360 especially helpfulShared Services Center background with experience in developing and implementing global workflows.Candidates need to have a proven track record of utilizing technology to continuously improve efficiencies in financial processes.Functional expertise in FP&A, general accounting, financial reporting, and finance operationsBenefitsCompany Paid Life Insurance, Long-Term and Short-Term Disability.Medical, Dental, Vision and FSA/HSA plans.401(k) with company match.Additional voluntary benefits including Critical Illness, Accident Insurance, Hospital Indemnity and Supplemental Life Insurance, Legal and Identity Protection, and Pet benefits.Generous PTO.An awesome team of professionals!Seniority levelSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionJob functionManagement and ManufacturingIndustriesInsuranceReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at The ARGroup of Search Companies by 2xGet notified about new Business Process Owner jobs in Auckland, New Zealand.We're unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
