The role
Support the wider GHD team in developing good business relationships with internal and external existing and potential clients to ensure required project outcomes are met and client satisfaction is maintained at a high standard
Assist the wider GHD team in developing new and repeat business within the Hawkes Bay/Gisborne Region, Lower North Island Region and wider NZ as required - including preparation of proposals and bids for projects
Provide engineering geology input to projects and, on occasion, review QA/QC of project deliverables as either Project Manager or Technical Reviewer as appropriate
Provide project management for investigation, design, and construction phases of a range of multidisciplinary projects
Provide leadership, planning, and coordination of resources for each job including inputs with other offices, and sub consultants.
What you will bring to the team
Solid experience in engineering geology or geotechnical engineering is essential, ideally in a consulting environment, along with related tertiary qualifications in geology or geotechnical/civil engineering
Relevant tertiary qualification Postgraduate qualifications will be favourably considered.
Self-motivated but also a good team person, whether as part of the national geotech team or virtual teams brought together to deliver projects
A strong personal commitment to Health and Safety in geotechnical projects and adherence to HSE procedures
Strong technical background including design and analysis using relevant software packages
Have excellent communication skills
Have an interest in the consulting environment
