General Manager, Resources/Chief Financial Officer

We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.

Forming part of a newly established senior leadership team, the General Manager Resources will lead the delivery of Council's core shared services functions that include finance, Human Resources, ICT/digital, Smart Cities, procurement, facilities and property management. You will be responsible for managing the Council's annual budget of $1.2 billion.

We are looking for an innovator who is experienced and inspirational to head this group and provide strategic advice to the Chief Executive, Mayor and elected members. You must have proven experience as an established leader of a large business unit or organisation, and be focused on the delivery of exceptional services to support the City. We expect you to build strong relationships and partnerships. You will have an understanding of local government or central government and be politically aware. You must be a qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent.
