As a not-for-profit, our mission is to serve our members, strengthen the profession, and help build a better digital future for all New Zealanders.We're looking for an experienced fractional leader who understands operational management but also values people, relationships, and community.
You'll work with a small, dedicated team with active support from the Board, President, and Deputy President, and you'll connect with members, government, industry, education providers, and sector partners to keep our work effective and relevant.
You'll also oversee ITP's small commercial activities, including Escrow NZ, to ensure they continue to support our broader mission sustainably.
This is part of ensuring our operational work remains sustainable and aligned with our valueWe know the digital sector is stronger when it reflects all of Aotearoa.
We warmly welcome and encourage applications from women, Maori, Pasifika, and other groups under-represented in technology.About the roleOperational management: Ensure daily work runs smoothly and supports members.Financial management: Manage budgets carefully and transparently.Strategic delivery: Work with the Board to deliver initiatives that strengthen the profession and grow the workforce.Membership growth: Create practical, inclusive plans to retain and welcome members.Relationship management: Build strong, respectful relationships with members, government, industry, and partners.Events and programmes: Support high-quality professional development and networking opportunities.What you'll bringProven operational leadership experience, ideally fractional or part-time.Skill in clear, careful budget management.Ability to deliver effective, inclusive membership growth strategies.Strong focus on relationships and collaboration.Clear, warm communication style.Ability to balance responsibilities within a 20-hour week.Commitment to not-for-profit values of service, community, and impact.If you want to use your skills to make a real difference, work with good people, and support New Zealand's growing digital technology community, we'd love to hear from you.
