Gas & Gear Representative

We're looking for a reliable all-rounder to join our team. You're someone who is confident across retail and industrial sales. This hands-on role includes order entry, stock management, customer service, problem-solving and some heavy lifting. You'll need to be accurate, show good initiative and be comfortable handling sales both in person and over the phone. Strong computer skills are essential and experience with SAP is a bonus.

What you will enjoy doing



* Manage phone and counter sales, providing excellent customer service and identifying opportunities to promote and upsell products
* You will support in-store presentation through the development and maintenance of displays and promotional materials
* Oversee stock control, including accurate dispatch, receipt of goods, and safe handling of gas cylinders
* Further, you will maintain product availability and merchandising standards, ensuring a clean, organized, and customer-ready store environment
* Contribute to the delivery and continuous improvement of welding and gas product/service offerings in line with business strategy
* In addition, you will act as a positive representative of SPW / BOC, assisting customers promptly, handling queries and complaints, and ensuring a smooth transaction process
* Uphold branch standards, policies, and procedures, while supporting a culture of operational excellence and customer satisfaction

* You have a proven experience in retail sales, with strong business acumen and a track record of achieving personal and team results
* Committed to delivering exceptional customer service, comfortable in presenting a wide range of products and services to meet customer needs
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, resolve queries, and collaborate across teams
* You are well-organised with strong time management, in fast-paced environments
* Solid technical knowledge of welding products and safety equipment would be highly advantageous
