About the role
Our dedicated team are looking for a full time Gardener/Maintenance Person to join us in creating and maintaining an attractive community environment for our residents.
This role requires a motivated and reliable person with a 'can-do, will-do' attitude, who has the ability to work well in a team as well as with minimal supervision. This is a job that requires someone who can do a bit of everything. You will supply general maintenance/handyperson services to our residents, assist with the gardening and general upkeep of the grounds as well as assisting with the maintenance of our comprehensive range of village facilities.
On offer is a full time opportunity, working 40 hours per week.
Skills and experience required
To be considered for this role, you need to have the 'right stuff' including common sense, reliability and a healthy, robust physical condition. You will thrive in a team environment and be confident and capable with hand tools, power tools and operating maintenance machinery.
Previous experience with large landscape or amenity gardening and a clean driver licence are essential and a formal qualification or proof of relevant training, particularly First Aid and Grow Safe and Level 3 Horticulture, will be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will possess a good knowledge of general gardening, spraying, weeding, pruning, and operating garden machinery, including using a lawn mower. You will demonstrate a respectful, patient manner which is essential in our aged care environment.
