With more and more people choosing Tairawhiti for its lifestyle, environment and culture, it’s an exciting time to be joining our thriving and diverse region.
We’re seeking an enthusiastic gardener who would be responsible for supporting the delivery of high quality gardens by performing a variety of general maintenance planting, gardening, improvement and cleaning activities of a manual labouring nature.
This role includes being outside each day, working in a variety of different high amenity gardens throughout the city and beyond.
Up for the challenge? Great – you will need to have:
a real passion for gardening, and previous experience as a gardener
a sound knowledge of plant and flower species suitable for the Gisborne climate
a good level of physical fitness to be able to carry out the role
a current Driver’s License
a tertiary qualification in amenity horticulture, landscape architecture or similar
Traffic Management certifications are desirable
Applicants will be highly motivated team players who are well organised and committed to providing excellent service and quality outcomes. Traffic Management Certifications are desirable but not essential.
