This game design role is specifically focused on Quests and bridging the narrative, audio and game design teams.Location: On-site in Henderson, Auckland, New ZealandRelocation assistance: For the right candidate, if neededPosition: Full time - 40 hours a weekThe position includes the following duties:Driving the narrative forward with quest design to support plot and gameplayImplementation of quest mechanics, cinematic moments, characters, dialogue etc into a seamless and unique experienceMaintaining the highest possible quality of quests with a keen eye for detailWorking closely with all departments to ensure things are ready on-time and well communicatedFixing bugs to make the quest experience seamlessWe are seeking someone with:High creativity and a keen eye delivering engaging, immersive experiencesExperience with game editors, scripting and design toolsStrong critical thinking and analytical skillsAbility to receive and apply feedback in a highly iterative environmentExcellent communication skills and a proven ability to work within a teamKnowledge of the Path of Exile universeFamiliarity with the fantasy genre in games, movies and literaturePortfolio, and/or reel demonstrating relevant skills required.Must be willing to complete a test if requested to do so.Pluses:Familiarity with 3D, animation and visual effects pipelinesHow to apply:If you meet the above requirements, please email your resume, portfolio and cover letter to ****** with your name and role you are applying for in the subject line.No phone calls or agencies, please.What we offer:A huge selection of free drinks for all the staff to enjoy while working.
