Full Time Chef

Sono Japanese Restaurant, Portside Wharf - Brisbane's premier modern Japanese restaurant located on the beautiful Brisbane River is currently looking for an experience Chef in Japanese cuisine.

We are looking for a highly motivated and qualified chef to join our experienced and award winning team. Previous experience in Japanese cuisine is required. Experience in Sushi and Sashimi making would be an advantage. The successful applicant will display excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with both our staff and patrons, as well as having a neat and tidy presentation. This position will see you working in conjunction with other experienced Chefs.

The team a Sono work hard to ensure a warm and comfortable atmosphere for both our staff and patrons. Staff meals, training and regular hours will be provided to the candidate that shows they are able to work hard when required, as well as display any eye for quality and detail in their daily work ethic. Familiarity with Japanese culture and cuisine would be of value.

This position could be negotiated as full-time or part-time, hours will mainly consist of shift work, with some weekend shifts required. We are seeking a dedicated person for a long-term commitment with our restaurant. We are able to negotiate a good salary package or hourly rate for the successful applicant.
