What you'll be doing and experience you will have to succeed
You will be involved in working on our customer portal - our most important digital experience here at NZTE. Our cloud is Azure and we have a Microsoft MVP on the team who can help you grow in this area and how to use it, or be your sounding board if you are a more experienced cloud developer.JavaScript and Node.js are languages you will be familiar with amongst others you can learn (like typescript). As we are investing in Graph databases, experience in NoSQL or Graph would be advantageous (or a great ability and desire to learn). Tools we use to run our dev processes are ServiceNow (ITSM), Confluence (Documentation), Azure DevOps Boards, Code, Test(Development workflows) although these are always evolving so you can influence this as part of the team.
We don't have time sheets here, you aren't billed by the hour. We don't have architects, you will have technical ownership. Our Digital team is small enough for you to be empowered to be a decision maker and technical expert. We have a strong learning culture where experimentation is encouraged, it is the best way to learn so you will be playing with the latest technology!
