Front Of House Staff | Permanent Part-Time | St Clair, Dunedin

We require a keen and enthusiastic student to join our team as a Front of House staff! You must have reliable transport as the job is in Saint Clair.
We are looking for you to work between 8 and 10 hours per week - two dinner shifts per week.Tasks and Duties will include: Cleaning and refilling condiment sets Setting tables in accordance with agreed standards, ensuring all items are clean, undamaged and in a good state of repair Greeting customers professionally and show them to their table Assisting with any special needs of the customer, i.e. children, disabled or elderly patrons Assisting diners with food and beverage selection by presenting the menu, explaining daily specials, answering food preparation questions and identifying appropriate wines Taking customer orders in a pleasant and efficient manner Ensuring orders are given to the appropriate person to execute Serving food and beverages in accordance with agreed procedures, but above all in a professional, courteous manner Checking with the customers throughout their meal of any further needs Ensuring tables are cleared quickly and efficiently and plates and utensils returned to the kitchen area Answering phone and record bookings for restaurant reservations as required Being aware of and continually maintaining the highest standards of personal hygiene and dress Reporting any problems with either customers or meals to the Restaurant Manager or Duty Manager Adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol control policies Cleaning designated areas in accordance with procedures Following instructions from Restaurant Manager or Duty Manager
