This role would see you leading the development and implementation of site performance and continuous improvement plans including individual projects and projects for team members, as well as managing all processing and packaging personal on the Day shift.The job holder is required to ensure the production and salts department process and operations meet all EHS requirements and procedures. This role is responsible to lead the operations team to deliver high productivity, line efficiency, cost effectiveness and Good Manufacturing Practices while maintain high Safety and Quality performance. This will be achieved by leading continuous improvement activities, coaching and facilitating the front line operators team.Key Accountabilities:Drive continuous improvement initiatives across area of responsibility in areas of Cost, Quality, Service, Sustainability and PeopleForecast Operational requirements/ resources based on future production schedules, projects etc. to assure product supplyEnsure all production targets are met for the salty lines department and deliver productivity objectives.Work in conjunction with Quality and Warehouse Supervisor to ensure Product Quality, HACCP and compliance with the Quality System at all times as well as ensure that has all materials, and equipment each day to meet production requirementsEnsure comprehensive follow up on corrective actions and any customer complaints in assigned area.Demonstrate and exercise a commitment to promote, develop and improve the health, safety and welfare of our peopleComply with the site Anti-Contamination Policy to ensure the food safety of Bluebird Foods product;Undertake all duties in accordance with company environmental policies and procedures, and support continual improvement in environmental systems and performance as outlined in annual plans.Analyse issues and develop effective solutionsQualifications/RequirementsQualifications, Skills and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Food Science or any other related disciplineAt least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial positionStrong leadership skill with the ability to establish visions and strategic plansAbility to manage change and proven history of driving change through to conclusionKnowledge of Lean manufacturing, IE and other Production Management ToolsHigh level of urgency in performing work and in achieving KPIsGood command of English and computer skillsInterpersonal skills which foster the trust, co-operation and support of others and be the enabler to removing obstacles and barriers within their control;Knowledge of efficient and effective manufacturing practices.Basic understanding of budget preparation (financial and analytical capability)What we can offer you:Excellent work-life balanceA competitive remuneration packageCareer development opportunitiesDiscounted retail and service benefits through our PepsiCo extras programOnly people with valid NZ working rights will be considered for this role.Working at Bluebird:Your positive attitude will be rewarded with excellent long term local and global career opportunities, and ongoing professional development along with a fun and rewarding working environment.You will be a key part of a dynamic team and a valuable contributor to a global company that is one of the FMCG market leaders.
