Roles and responsibilities include:
Planning, organising and overseeing workshop blasting, preparation and painting
Completing industrial painting projects as required
Ensuring that all activities are carried out safely and in accordance with internal policies, client policies and laws and regulations, including ensuring that all required training and certificates are in place prior to commencing work
Assisting the General Manager with quoting, stock takes and timesheets as required by the General Manager from time to time
Ensuring that work is completed to a high standard, and to the required specification, liaising closely with clients to ensure that their needs are met
Managing and motivating staff while ensuring that staff productivity is maintained at a high level
Ensuring that work is completed at the lowest cost within specification
Liaising with existing and new customers
The successful candidate will:
Have a good knowledge of surface preparation (including abrasive blasting) and industrial paint coatings
Have at least 3 years industrial painting experience
Have demonstrated leadership skills and experience in staff organisation and supervision
Have experience working at sites requiring high levels of compliance and safety standards
Have a demonstrated commitment to quality, reliability and customer service and communication and a can-do attitude
Be a team player
Be literate and numerate and be able to demonstrate capability in keeping required staff, customer and compliance records
