Flooring Quantifier/Estimator

We are a buzzy, energetic, small team specializing in commercial flooring. We are growing fast and are looking for a professionally presented Flooring Quantifier with a great eye for detail and excellent numeracy skills as the projects you are quantifying are often complex.

Our customers are primarily construction companies, architects, business owners, developers and designers. You will be required to quantify and price jobs from drawings and/or from site visits. You will also be responsible for product procurement and ensuring product selected for the job fits the Client requirements and is fit for purpose.

The key purpose of your job is to quantify and price new flooring contracts.

Specific tasks include;

Determine material and labour requirements from Client drawings and specifications or from site measurements.

Liaise with Specifiers, Architects and Designers to resolve issues with drawings or specifications.

Price jobs with cost, profit and sell calculations according to the Company pricing policy.

Build the Project File with all necessary documentation to ensure a smooth handover to the Operations team to manage the installation.

Order materials as required to coincide with the Client’s billing cycle to ensure good cash flow.

Prepare costed job sheets for layers.

Generate monthly payment claims or invoices.

Track contract retention payments.

Participate in Client meetings as required.

This position can be scaled to be full time or part-time depending on job candidates preference.

Our preference is for candidates to have experience quantifying within the flooring Industry. However this position may also suit individuals with background in estimating building materials and labour for construction projects that are not necessarily flooring related.

Familiarity with quantifying software tools would also be an advantage.
