Fleet Controller

Are you ready to play a key role in keeping Auckland's rail network moving?We're on the hunt for a Fleet Controller to join the team at our Auckland Rail Operations Centre (AROC) here at Auckland One Rail.About the Role:Fleet Controllers are responsible for the day-to-day coordination of train movements across the network, ensuring alignment with maintenance schedules and operational plans.
This role is central to the smooth functioning of Auckland's passenger rail services and plays a critical part in managing the fleet during service disruptions and train faults.You will monitor real-time network performance using tracking systems, CCTV, and operational inputs, and work closely with Train Maintainers, Crews, and Control Room staff to manage fleet issues.
The role also involves implementing disruption recovery plans, delivering clear communications to frontline teams during service disruptions, and contributing to continuous improvements in fleet operations and reliability.This role requires the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment where multitasking and problem-solving are crucial.Please note: This is a 24/7 rostered position, including weekends and public holidays.What You Bring:Strong communication and decision-making skills, including professional phone, radio, and email communication.Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.A team-focused approach, working collaboratively to deliver the best possible passenger experience.Excellent investigation and reporting skills to accurately document and analyse incidents.A background in transportation or logistics (preferred but not essential).Strong computer skills, with the ability to confidently operate and interpret data from complex systems used to manage rail operations, such as crew rostering software, real-time train tracking, network performance monitoring, and incident reporting tools.About Auckland One Rail:Auckland One Rail (AOR) brings the expertise of two world-class transport organisations in a joint venture between ComfortDelGro Transit Pte Ltd (CDGT) and UGL Rail Pty Ltd (UGL Rail).
